The Snyk Default License Policy defines how Snyk identifies potential license issues in the open source packages your projects are using.
This default policy applies to all organizations created within your group.
Especially when you are just starting with Snyk, select None for all license items. That way, licenses will not affect your governance model, and will keep license issues from failing builds or PRs.
To open your group default license policy, complete the following steps.
Select the organization drop down.
Select your Group Overview.
Select the Policies tab.

To define your group license policy, complete the following steps.
Select Snyk Default License Policy.
Enter a Description for the policy, if desired.
For each license listed on the right, select the Severity from the drop down list to indicate which license issues you want to to identify when running Snyk tests.
If you select a severity other than None, and you want to include additional instructions that will show if that license issue is identified, select the icon to the right of the Severity drop down and enter the text for the license instruction. Select Add or Update.
Adding instructions for license issues
The additional instructions show in the Snyk web app and the CLI when the selected licenses are identified. Read more in the documentation.
